Grulla Horses

Grulla (grew-ya) horses are from America. There isn’t many of these types of horses. These nice looking horses are from the dun family. They usually have a sandy/yellow to reddish/brown coat. Their legs are usually darker than their body and sometimes have faint stripes kind of like a zebra on them.I think these types of horses are work horses. If I could find this horse I would ride it and take good care of it. I think this horse looks like a workhorse. If I had him I would love to see it work.

  2. Hi David

I'm the Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator at your school. I really like how you've described the colours of horses in the Dun family but I think the horse in your photo is actually called a Paint or Skewbald. I used to have a Piebald which is a black and white horse, he was called Kamal. They are really special horses and almost all of them have a very kind nature. Have you ever ridden a horse?
